Quneitra/Ruins of a Hospital

Ruins of a Hospital

Visitors to Quneitra can walk through these hospital ruins. The walls are riddled with bullet holes and everything is falling apart. From the roof there is a lovely view of Quneitra and the Golan, a beautiful, lush green area. The view includes UN buildings and Israeli guardposts.

Golan has the richest and most fertile soil in Syria. It also has a very beautiful nature, mostly in the occupied part (the slopes of Mount Hermon where the Israelis now go skiing on a stolen land). You should have visited the "Hill of Shouting" where Syrian citizens use loudspeakers to communicate with their raltives in the occupied village of Majdal Shams across the cease fire line and a valley full of land mines...

I guess the place you stopped at on your way to Quneitra is Khan Al-Shih. Many Palestinian refugees live there.

And by the way, we expected you to attend the bloggers meetup last Sunday. Shoo el essa?
